The routine must be created, conceived, filmed and submitted by Sunday, April 5, 2020 11:59pm PST. THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 19th, 2020 11:59pm PST
The routine has never been performed before
The costumes/props were already at your house. I.E. you didn't go to the store to pick something up, didn't have something mailed to you, etc.
The music must be royalty free.
While there's no time limit, we suggest less than 6 minutes
You can only submit one routine. If more than 1 routine is submitted we'll only review the first submission.

Judging Criteria
Performers will be judged on Individuality, Character & Performance, Use of Stage, Engagement, Aesthetic – Costuming, Visual Presentation (including how the music is incorporated into the routine), Tease, Movement & Musicality.

What do the Guest Judges Do?
Guest Judges will be awarding the category Best in Show.
The Producing Team is responsible for watching and scoring submissions. After this process is completed, the producing team will pass along the top 5 videos from each category. The Guest Judges will review the top 5 submissions from each category and the video with the highest score will receive the award Best in Show.
Celeste de Moriae
This Croatian lady is more than 20 years on international stages, she is a professional burlesque, singer, successful producer and coach.
Celeste is a very changeable performer with a lot of face expression, that is why she is also known as “The Face”. She is a strong and powerful neo performer with a few classically touched acts. Mystic elegant, often with a hint of Comedy.
Celeste de Moriae a multi awarded international travelling performer, headlines Shows / Festivals and is also invited as a special guest. Celeste is also part of the jury panel of diverse festivals and other competitions. As judge, she is known for her professionally and straight decisions.
Since 2002 she works also as a creative director and produces events, a congress and a burlesque Festival.

JEEZ LOUEEZ
JEEZ LOUEEZ (New Orleans) - A lethal combination of drama, hilarity, and killer kinetics, Jeez Loueez is an award-winning powerhouse that’s taken stages across the world by storm. Known as the "Honey Badger of Burlesque", she’s a consummate force that’s become one of the most memorable personalities of modern burlesque. She's been voted into the Top 50 Burlesque Industry Figures since 2010, currently ranked as the #1 burlesque figure in the world and in 2018 was named one of the Most Influential Figures of the Decade. A skilled improviser with impeccable comedic timing, Jeez Loueez also charms as an emcee as seen at Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, and the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, among other notable events.
She's the creator of Jeezy's Juke Joint: A Black Burly-Q Revue, a festival and traveling production that showcases Black entertainers from all over the world (voted "Best Adult Entertainment" by Chicago Mag 2018). Her classes and productions have been featured on Autostraddle, Ebony.com, Windy City Live, and season 2 of the Netflix Original series 'Easy'. She has also been featured as a panelist and instructor at the Chicago International Film Festival, Northwestern University, and Columbia College Chicago.

Burlesque Legend
Born in the 1950s Burlesque Legend of Bhof Museum , traveled and performed since 1970, Greece Cyprus, Spain, Teheran, Dubai, North Africa, Jamaica, Baghdad, Turkey, Germany, America, and many other countries. Producer of GLCC Golden legend Champions Challenge festival and Burlypicks Solid Gold. A huge fan of today's Burlesque. And biggest honor to date was to be a judge at the highest burlesque competition in the world the holy grail BHoF in 2017 .
Gabriella was born in Boston Lincolnshire England. Atq 174 Ingram rd the second Biracial child to be born in this small town in the 50s , From Boston to London where she auditioned in the kitchen for Jackie Harris in hopes to get signed to work for Luciano Miglorini Agent and producer of the Miglorini Troupe . Her first signed contract was in 1970 her first pair of real dance shoes and plane ride also in 1970 to Leon Spain and she has never looked back .
What do Winners Receive:

We'll pay for the winner of each category to submit 1 act of their choosing to any burlesque festival (limit $50 US and you have to notify us 1 month in advance before the submission due date) OR if we partner with additional festivals, who will waive the application fee for the winners, we'll send a list to choose from (must be used by April 5, 2021).
All POC winners will have the application fee for What The Funk waived
What the Funk package: a t shirt, sticker and enamel pin to the winners in each category.

Best Group
Winners in the Best Group Category receive a ticket to a local burlesque show of their choosing not to exceed $20 (per person, doens't have to be te same show. See rules on the FAQ page). Winners must be able to supply a ticket link at least 1 month in advance to quarantease@gmail.com
